Mr. Porreca represented a client in Hillside Municipal Court. The defendant was charged with reckless driving, under NJSA 39:4-96 (5 points); careless driving, under NJSA 39:4-97 (2 points); failure to maintain lane, under NJSA 39:4-88(b) (2 points); failure to signal, under NJSA 39:4-126(b) (2 points); and improper right turn, under NJSA 39:4-123(a) (2 points).
After negotiating with the prosecutor, Mr. Porreca was able to secure a plea wherein the client would only plead guilty to the 2-point careless driving and all other summonses were dismissed.
