One Year of PTI for Client Charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child

A man in Morris County Superior Court was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child under N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(a)(1). This client was charged with allegedly having a sexual and inappropriate conversation with a 9-year-old girl. After several meetings and negotiations with the Prosecutor, Mr. Porreca was able to secure a one-year PTI offer for this defendant.

Alleged Conspiracy and Criminal Mischief Leads to One Year of PTI and Reduced Restitution for Mr. Porreca’s Client

Mr. Porreca represented a man in Sussex County Superior Court charged with Conspiracy under N.J.S.A. 2C:5-1(A)(1) and 8 Counts of Criminal Mischief under N.J.S.A. 2C:17-3(A)(1). Additionally, the State was seeking restitution in the amount of $15,000.00 for property damage suffered by the victims. Mr. Porreca was able to secure a one-year PTI offer for this defendant and restitution in the amount of $1,230.00.

Client Charged with Terroristic Threats Gets Case Dismissed

Mr. Porreca represented a man in Pompton Lakes Municipal Court charged with Terroristic Threats under N.J.S.A. 2C:12(3)(b). The defendant allegedly stored a firearm in a closet and during a verbal argument, the victim thought that he was going to shoot her. Mr. Porreca was able to secure a “60-Day Administrative Carry” upon the completion of which the case against this defendant was dismissed.

Drug DWI Reduced to Reckless Driving Charge

When a man in the Madison Joint Municipal Court (Harding Township) was charged with a drug DWI under N.J.S.A. 39:4-50, he was facing a 7 to 12-month driver's license suspension. After intensive negotiations with the State, Mr. Porreca was able to convert the charges to reckless driving under N.J.S.A. 39:4-96 with a stipulated 30-day driver's license suspension.

DWI Client Secures Minimum Penalties

A woman in Madison Joint Municipal Court (Morris Township) was charged with a DWI, failure to maintain lanes, and reckless driving. Mr. Porreca helped her minimize her penalties for a first-time DWI and had all other traffic offenses dismissed.

Charges Dismissed for DWI Client Who Refused a Breath Test

After a traffic stop in the Lebanon Township Municipal Court, a woman refused to take a breath test. She was charged with DWI, reckless driving, and refusing to submit a breath test.
